A brief pause (to recuperate)

~ ~
It had to happen. All that traveling has finally taken its toll on me. I've been ill for a week now and as soon as I thought I was done with it, I was diagnosed with some more stuff that will take its time to go away, it seems.

I'll spare you the gory details - just leaving you with a few images from an evening at the Namdroling Monastery in Kushalnagar (south west Karnataka). For now, just soak in the peace that these images evoke (they do that to me), while I recuperate enough to come back with the stories - of course, the stories - I'm never without a few of those! I just need to catch my breath (literally) before I can tell them.

Dusk at Namdroling...

I'll be back before you know it!

Get well soon! We need more photos! Tese are lovely shots. I particularly like how the first one looks like it has been shot against the sea, with gently rippling water, as opposed to the sky. It reenforces the tranquil sense one gets form these photos.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. The first one is my favorite, the lighting is simply perfect and all the blues harmonize for a nice sense of peacefulness.

I really wish I can see these places... soon. Soon, the North Indian will venture into South India. Soon.

The images (from earlier posts on India) are gorgeous. Hope you get well soon, and we get to see more of them.

Aditya: Thank you! I'm better now and working on some new and exciting stuff to put here. Do drop in again!

Paul: Thank you. I'm better now, though it seems Bangalore is bad for my respiratory system! Will be back very soon with more stuff. Hope you had a great trip to England.

Jyothy: Thank you. Ooh yes I made it a point to get to Bylakuppe - even the more remote parts of it that are not so famous as Namdroling. I had to argue with our cab driver and an unbelieving partner but I do a great job of arguing - we finally go there, much to my triumph! Hah. ;-) There're lots of pictures waiting to be posted and lots of stories waiting to be told. :)

Erinn: More pics coming up, pronto! Thanks for your lovely words about this set...I have always been very strongly attracted towards Buddhism as it always gives me a tremedous sense of inner peace. I have to admit that Namdroling, although beautiful has been reduced to a tourist attraction and I was terribly disappointed with the rowdy, noisy crowds thronging the place with little sense of respect for it. But I focussed on getting the pictures for my own memories - and the pictures evoke that sense of peace the place didn't - at least not on the weekend evening that I went there. Fortunately though, I persisted on finding the other lesser known monasteries and temples scattered around Bylekuppe (the Tibetan settlement) - I cannot possibly describe that experience in words.

SD (Aspherical): Thanks for your kind words...the blues were a result of a rapidly changing dusk light...I loved the way the scattered clouds formed ripples in the sky. I'm pleased with my efforts to capture it, if I may say so myself!

Sirop: Thank you so much for dropping by, again! I'm better now and planning some nice stuff to post here - do keep an eye and I hope you will like it. :)
